Hartington & Pilsbury

Pilsbury Castle was a Norman castle in Derbyshire near the present-day village of Pilsbury, overlooking the River Dove. Park in Hartington and follow the upper Dove, The Spink pools make a good picnic spot. If you head towards Pilsbury, past Pilsbury Castle (it’s only grassy mounds now) you will eventually get to Crowdecote and The Pack House Inn. You’ll have the option of two ridge walks back into Hartington.
