Established in 1787, the site spans approximately 60 acres atop Masson Hill and is renowned for its panoramic views over the Derwent Valley. Visitors can access the estate via a unique alpine-style cable car system, introduced in 1984, which ascends 554 feet from the valley floor, offering scenic vistas during the journey.
